Biography

Laura Rovetti is a singer, songwriter, and bandleader based in Toronto, ON. Blending indie pop, alt-rock, folk, and jazz influences, her music captures intimate, emotional moments and invites listeners into a world of growth, reflection, and healing. Inspired by artists like Lizzy McAlpine, Eloise, and Radiohead, her songs feature intricate lyricism, evocative harmonies, and diverse instrumentation that engage audiences both emotionally and sonically.

An active performer in Toronto’s music scene, Laura has played at renowned venues such as The Rex, The Tapestry, and The Rec Room during NXNE (North by Northeast). She has also appeared on 96.9 Humber Radio, performing live and sharing insights into her songwriting process.

In the summer of 2025, Laura joined six other music students to form Tessera as part of the Intercultural and Creative Music Fellowship (ICMF) in partnership with the Aga Khan Museum. Together, they recorded seven songs, a short documentary, and a visual album for their debut project. Drawing inspiration from the Museum’s art exhibitions, they explored themes of Unity through Multiplicity.

Currently, Laura is working on her debut 5-track EP, Not Even Funny.
